Principal Control Systems Engineer

We are working with a leading intralogistics and warehouse automation company on the rise. the client just secured a series of major contracts for warehouse automation projects across the Eastern United States, and we're seeking a talented Principal Controls & Automation Engineer to join their growing team.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of world-class automation solutions for clients' warehouses.
• Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and operations teams to ensure project success.
• Oversee all aspects of the controls engineering process, from initial concept and design to installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in controls and automation to ensure our solutions are at the forefront of the industry.

You are the ideal candidate if you possess:

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in controls and automation engineering, with a strong focus on warehouse, industrial or manufacturing automation.
• In-depth knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens S7 in particular), HMI development, and SCADA systems.
• Proven experience in leading and managing complex automation projects from start to finish.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and functions.
• A passion for problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.
