- Set and drive the agenda with executive team to improve Collections operations
- Hire, train, and sustain high-performance teams through shared goals, shared leadership and clear role expectations
- Provide direction, measure performance, establish goals for on-site, remote and offshore team members
- Establish collection goals and metrics to ensure portfolio performance is maintained to organizational goal and standards
- Test and implement different tools and strategies while adhering to practical problem solving methodologies (e.g. skip tracing, auto dialer, bureau reporting etc.)
- Develop new processes and capabilities for collections to achieve maximum productivity
- Set up well designed experiments and perform high quality data and OPs analysis to make sound recommendations
- Present weekly and monthly reports on loan servicing performance
- Keep abreast on industry trends, best practices, and regulations
- Collaborate with internal business and technology teams
- Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Degree equivalency can be satisfied with a combination of education, training, and related job experience.
- At least 5 years experience in loan servicing & collections in lending, preferably automotive lending. 5+ years in a supervisory capacity
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Excel including functions such as pivot tables, vlookups, sumifs or similar
- Proven record of SOP preparations and systemic execution
- Knowledge and experience with different collections and recovery management tools
- Strong sense of ownership and business orientation in harmony with organizational chain-of-command and decision-making structure
- Able to communicate insights clearly and succinctly (written and verbal) and partner with cross functional teams to deliver results
- Experience using Business Intelligence tools or other software for data exploration & visualization is strongly preferred
- Exceptional attention to mission-critical details and accuracy, professional attitude, including strong organization and time management skills. Okay we know detail-oriented is on about every job description but we really mean it

The Senior Collections Manager is responsible for all facets of loan servicing including but not limited to organizing, planning, directing, and controlling all operations of the Collections Department.
The ideal candidate would have a bachelors degree, have 5+ years management or supervisory experience in a financial institution, experience in collections management preferred. Furthermore, in this hands-on loan servicing role, this individual will oversee the day-to-day activities of the Collections team, ensuring that internal policies and procedures are followed and KPIs and SLAs are met.
