    Responsibilities:
    1. Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
    2. Diagnose and treat mental health disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance abuse disorders.
    3. Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans based on assessment findings, evidence-based practices, and patient preferences.
    4. Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, including monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
    5. Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, families, and groups.
    6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, psychologists, social workers, and counselors, to provide holistic care to patients.
    7. Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for self-care and symptom management.
    8. Document patient assessments, treatment plans, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
    9. Stay current with advances in psychiatric practice, pharmacology, and evidence-based treatments through continuing education and professional development activities.
    10. Adhere to legal and ethical standards of practice, including maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting patients' rights and autonomy.
    Qualifications:
    1. Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a focus on psychiatric-mental health.
    2. Current, unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Texas.
    3. Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from a recognized certifying body (e.g.,
    4. Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
    5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members.
    6. Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and promoting mental health wellness and recovery.
    7. Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other technology tools for documentation and communication.
    8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
