    Assessor and Enquiry Officer / Oversight Officer Assessment and Strategy Development Directorate

    THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT

    The Corruption and Crime Commission (the Commission) is a leading anti-corruption agency whose primary purpose is to improve the integrity of and reduce the incidence of serious misconduct and corruption in the Western Australian Public Sector.

    The Assessment and Strategy Development directorate works collaboratively across the Commission and the Western Australian (WA) government sector through its assessment, oversight and research/reporting functions. The directorate manages the assessment of serious misconduct allegations, conducts reviews of investigations conducted by WA government agencies and conducts research and analysis to inform Commission priorities and external reports.

    THE OPPORTUNITY

    These exciting and challenging positions present an opportunity to join the Commission's Assessment and Oversight team within the Assessment and Strategy Development directorate.

    The Assessment Team is responsible for receiving and assessing notifications of serious misconduct in accordance with the Corruption, Crime and Misconduct Act 2003 (CCM Act) and the Commission's strategic and operational priorities culminating in recommendations to determine how each matter should be dealt with.

    The Oversight Team is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the investigations and/or other actions taken by appropriate authorities in response to allegations of serious misconduct, in accordance with the CCM Act.

    In these interesting and diverse roles, position holders will have the opportunity to:

  • Conduct analysis of allegations of serious misconduct;
  • Interpret and apply legislation, policy and procedure;
  • Produce reports and make recommendations in line with Commission strategic and operational priorities;
  • Actively engage with stakeholders involved in the notification and assessment of allegations of serious misconduct.
  • The Commission requires applicants to be Australian citizens or be immediately eligible for citizenship, and appointment is conditional on satisfactory completion of a rigorous security clearance process.

    Successful candidates will be required to participate in psychological assessments during the course of employment.
