RN Clinical Practice Specialist Women's and Children's ServicesPosition Summary:
In a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, The Clinical Practice Specialist contributes professional and clinical nursing expertise to ensure the delivery of high quality nursing care to specific patient populations within the Valley Health System.
Current license as a Registered Professional Nurse in New Jersey. Baccalaureate degree in health care or related field; Master of Science in Nursing preferred. Ability to apply nursing process toward achievement of specific outcomes in an organized fashion which addresses patient/family satisfaction. Experience in adult education principles preferred. Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and creative problem solving. Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing practice experience, primarily in area of specialty. Participation in pertinent professional and/or specialty organizations preferred. *National Board Certification requirement.
RNs new in the position that meet experience requirements to sit for a Magnet recognized National Board Certification exam, have up to 1 year to obtain such certification.
RNs that do not have the experience required to sit for the exam have 1 year from the time they become eligible to sit for the exam to obtain National Board Certification in their specialty.
