    The role of the Senior Technical Product Engineer is to support and enable business change. This position is responsible for building strong business understanding and relationships to enable the delivery of technology solutions that deliver the intended business value in the spirit of the Agile Scrum Methodology.

    We are looking for someone with strong analytical and organizational skills to transform data into insights, distill requirements, and develop processes. They will also be able to define clear, easy-to-digest metrics that resonate with the business. While a deep knowledge in products and applications is not necessary, previous experience will be a plus. The candidate should have excellent communication skills, business maturity, and feel comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Gathering, developing, coordinating, and maintaining business requirements for various projects and/or systems from initial phase to final implementation, assuring requirements meet standards; troubleshooting, coordinating, and maintaining production systems/programs/applications; assisting in maintenance and communication of project status reports and tracking
    • Provide efficient project processes and deliverables to shorten the project life cycle, where applicable
    • Works with application support and development team to fix software bugs and escalated issues
    • Lead resolution to issues with interfacing systems built on different technologies
    • Facilitate and participate in regular project status reviews
    • Convert high-level User Requirements into executable, detailed User Stories to enable development
    • Create and maintain the product backlog
    • Conduct planning sessions with the teams to prioritize work in upcoming sprints
    • Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles
    • Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority
    • Experience in API practice/program at a large organization
    • Strong experience in discovery, identification, and documentation of APIs
    • Ability to work with multiple IT and business teams to gather and document API requirements
    • Engage directly and daily with delivery teams to execute the project
    • Ensure product acceptance and readiness at key phases of the delivery cycle
    • Develop communication materials and lead communication efforts around the product, priorities and future roadmaps
    • Attend and lead design sessions with the product team

    What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

    • 5+ years of hands on experience
    • Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery
    • Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from feasibility through to production
    • Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project
    • Strong written, oral communication, and social skills
    • Must have excellent planning and organizational skills, strong verbal, written communication and facilitation skills.
    • Must be performing satisfactorily in present position

    • Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority

    What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, with 8+ years of relevant technical experience or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems with 2+ years of technical experience; or MBA preferred
    • Knowledge of methods and ability to develop trusting business relationships and provide solicited, respected, and valued perspectives to clients/peers that guide thinking, facilitate issue resolution and enhance client/peer capabilities.
    • Understanding of the importance of continuous growth and development and the ability to develop practices that maximize learning and development and improve team members' focus on performance objectives.
    • Understanding of the importance of inter-team collaboration in breaking down silos and achieving business results; ability to lead employees from various functions to communicate, coordinate work across divisions, and collaborate in solving problems as one team.
    • Knowledge of the importance of meeting or exceeding established targets; ability to drive critical activities to completion.
    • Understanding of the value of articulating an intended business outcome and ability to create and communicates a vision of the organization that motivates others to superior performance.
    • Knowledge of basic activities and deliverables of application design; ability to utilize application design methodologies, tools and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design.
    • Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery.
    • Knowledge of the concepts, technologies, and services of cloud computing. Basic conceptual knowledge of cloud applications' design, deployment, and implementation of cloud computing solutions in various business environment.
    • Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation.
    • Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.
    • Airline industry experience is good to have.
    • AWS/OpenShift and/or Java Distributed Technology certification is a plus.
