    The Tillery, a full-service upscale American restaurant and bar brings a modern and intimate dining experience to Owings Mills, MD.

    Owings Mills, once an independent and isolated mill town, but now the heart of bustling Baltimore County, welcomes a new dining experience to Metro Centre at Owings Mills. With a history rich in farming, cultivation, and milling, from which the city gets its name, The Tillery brings the best of the expansive countryside together with a modern and intimate dining experience - we call it Farm to Centre. Local hospitality is at the center of it all. And at the center of hospitality is food. Dynamic specials featuring the seasons' best produce pair with the dependability and indulgent comfort of a prime cut of beef.     Pay: Hourly + Tip outs

    Job description

    Food Runner responsibilities include setting tables, serving food orders and removing used dishes and utensils. If you'd like to gain experience in the restaurant industry and learn how to provide an excellent dining experience, we'd like to meet you. To be considered for this role, you should be available to work various shifts, including weekends.

    Ultimately, you will ensure our guests have a high-quality dining experience by serving their food in a timely and accurate manner.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Clean off all plate and glassware from tables that have left.
  • Re-set the table in the restaurants style, make sure the table is set properly and clean.
  • Make sure the chairs and floor area around the table is clean, bring all dishware to the dish area for cleaning.
  • Re-stocking service stands.
  • Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers' tables rapidly and accurately
  • Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff
  • Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies)
  • Making sure the beverage station was full (coffee, tea etc.)
  • Emptying trash, bring clean glassware to the bar area, getting ice, bring the linen, and fold napkins.
  • Answer guests' questions about ingredients and menu items
  • Inform restaurant staff about customers' feedback or requests (e.g. when they ask for the check)
  • Make sure families with young children get kids menus and special silverware sets
    REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    Basic reading, writing, and math skills. Must meet state legal age requirements. Must speak fluent English.
