    Line Cook - Weekend availability required

    A fantastic opportunity is available for skilled cooks to join the dynamic team at J&G Chicken. We are looking for individuals who are dedicated to providing exceptional customer service, possess a keen eye for detail, and are willing to exceed expectations.

    Job Overview

    As a Kitchen Line Cook, you will be responsible for food preparation, presentation, following recipes, and maintaining high quality standards while collaborating with experienced chefs.

    We are seeking line cooks with previous experience in the casual dining or fast-food industry. The ideal candidate should have a strong culinary background and proficiency in food preparation, cooking, and plating.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Conduct daily kitchen operations such as prep work, cooking, and plating
    • Ensure all work areas are kept clean, sanitized, and well-organized
    • Maintain proper storage of food and supplies
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
    • Adhere to scheduled shifts, company policies, and collaborate with the Head Chef
      • Minimum age requirement: 18 years
      • High School diploma or equivalent
      • Preferably some fast-food or retail experience
      • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
      • Effective verbal communication in English
      • Dedication to teamwork and strong work ethic
      • Certification in ServSafe and knowledge of Health Department Regulations
      • Availability to work weekends and holidays
    • Physical Demands:
      • Continuous standing and walking
      • Frequent bending and lifting of up to 10lbs
      • Occasional lifting of up to 50lbs
      • Occasional squatting
    • Work Environment:
      • Work setting: kitchen and restaurant
      • Potential temperature fluctuations near kitchen equipment
      • Occasional exposure to slippery surfaces
      • Frequent loud noise levels
      • Moderate physical activity required
