    Description:

    The Saint Alphonsus Mammo Tech provides skills and knowledge necessary to perform mammography procedures and clinical breast examinations in the diagnostic and/or screening mammography areas of Medical Imaging in Idaho and Oregon.

    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
    • Must obtain Mammography registry through ARRT within 1 year of hire.
    • Colleague must have and maintain an active Medical Imaging License issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI).
    • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS or as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
    • Must have active driving privileges. If, during the course of employment, driving privileges change or colleague receives a driving citation, the colleague is required to notify their supervisor and/or HR.

    GOOD TO HAVE:

    • Previous mammography experience
    • Three to five years of radiology experience

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups.
    • Performs ordered procedures according to subspecialty protocols and procedures, ensuring that optimum exams are acquired in an efficient and timely manner.
    • Responds to equipment failures, documenting in accordance with Department Policies and procedures.
    • Keeps accurate and updated documentation of medications on inventory.
