    VMD seeks a Supervisory Transportation Security Officer (STSO) at the Glacier Park International Airport (GPI)
    In addition to this role, we have the following positions available:


    • Deputy Project Manager (DPM)
    • Lead Transportation Security Officer (LTSO)
    • Transportation Security Officer (TSO) / Part-Time and Full-Time
    • Security Training Instructor (STI)
    • Mission Support Specialist What you will do: Grow in a fulfilling career as a Supervisory Transportation Security Officer (STSO) working alongside a team of aviation security professionals
    You will be responsible for mitigating actual and potential threats against civil aviation
    You will also perform and supervise Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) and Lead Transportation Security Officers (LTSOs) in the performance of all security functions related to the screening of people, property, and cargo through the use and application of procedures, techniques, and technology
    In addition, you will make independent, security-based decisions using intelligence, critical thinking, experience, observation, and passenger engagement
    You will be responsible for leading Transportation Security Officers (TSOs)
    As an STSO, you will identify, distribute, and balance workloads and tasks among employees in accordance with established guidelines and skill level
    You will adjust the workload in accordance with established priorities
    Responsibilities specific to this role include, but are not limited to:


    • Overseeing screening checkpoint(s) and/or baggage screening operations on a day-to-day basis to include equipment, personnel, and the scheduling and rotation of personnel.
    • Conducting and supervising subordinate employees in conducting security screening of persons, their carry-on and checked baggage/cargo to ensure SOPs are met
    • Fostering and ongoing development of critical thinking abilities necessary to mitigate security threats through identification, assessment, and applying appropriate strategies and methods
    • Operating various screening equipment
    • Communicating and interacting with travelers and stakeholders, including pre-shift briefings
    • Preparing incident reports
    Implementing updated security screening procedures What you will need:


    • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Lead Transportation Security Officer (LTSO).
    • Be a U.S
    Citizen or U.S
    National


    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
    • Be at least 18 years of age
    • Have a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
    • Pass a computerized assessment (grammar and ability to interpret X-rays)
    • Pass a medical evaluation (vision, hearing, and joint mobility exam)
    • Pass pre-employment drug test.
    • Ability to work any day, Monday - Sunday, and any shift between 12:00 AM and 11:59 PM
    • Ability to work independently and possess effective decision-making skills.
    • Must have the ability to attain dual-function certification
