    **Position Summary:**

    The Special Education Paraprofessional plays a vital role in supporting students with special needs to achieve academic success, address behavioral challenges, and foster social integration.

    In collaboration with special education and regular education teachers, as well as related service staff, they ensure the well-being and progress of students.

    **Key Responsibilities:**

    • Providing individualized support and guidance to assist students in achieving academic success.
    • Monitoring and addressing student behaviors to maintain a positive learning environment.
    • Caring for students who require personal assistance due to physical delays.
    • Facilitating the social integration and inclusion of students with special needs.
    • Collaborating with special education and regular education teachers, as well as related service staff, to ensure consistent support for students.
    • Maintaining confidentiality of student files and other professional communication.
    • Performing additional duties as assigned by the District.

    **Requirements:**

    • A High School Diploma is required.
    • Special Education Paraprofessional certification is necessary.
