    Summary

    Maine Medical Partners-MaineHealth Cardiology is seeking a full-time clinical cardiologist (non-interventional) for their Biddeford based practice with inpatient duties at Maine Medical Center and outpatient activity centered in our Scarborough ambulatory center. There are opportunities for leadership roles in education and research for the appropriate applicant. Selected candidates will join a team of over 50 cardiologists who provide inpatient, outpatient and consultative services.

    Maine Medical Partners-MaineHealth Cardiology is a growing practice, with office locations in Augusta, Waterville, Lewiston, Rockport, and Scarborough, and a nationally recognized inpatient cardiovascular service line at Maine Medical Center which serves as the hub for the extended MaineHealth network. Maine Medical Partners-MaineHealth Cardiology provides patients across the state with the highest quality cardiac care, working closely with other regional hospitals to build a coordinated network of cardiology services.

    The position involves a direct teaching role with Maine Medical Center's Cardiology Fellows, as well as teaching and mentoring medical students from the Maine Medical Center-Tufts University School of Medicine Medical School Program. The candidate will have an academic appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine.

    Maine Medical Center has 637 licensed beds and is the state's leading tertiary hospital, with a full complement of residencies and fellowships and an integral part of the Tufts University Medical School. Long recognized as a leader in cardiac care, The Maine Medical Center Cardiovascular Institute () remains on the forefront of today's most advanced treatments and procedures, and has been recognized as one of the top 100 programs in the United States. This comprehensive program provides the highest level of expertise and leading edge technology, such that patients don't need to leave the state for quality heart care. We are pleased to share that the hospital is in the process of building a five-story patient care tower dedicated to cardiovascular excellence. It will be home to 19 new procedure rooms, including several hybrid ORs, as well as 64 new private patient rooms. The building is scheduled to open in early 2023.

    Maine Medical Partners serves the health care needs of patients throughout Maine and Northern New England. This high quality team of 600 physicians and 350 advanced practice professionals provides a wide range of hospital based, primary, specialty, and sub-specialty adult and pediatric care delivered throughout a network of over 54 locations across the State, acting as a regional referral network.

    Southern Maine Health Care (SMHC) is a member site in the MaineHealth system housing 150 licensed beds. SMHC has medical offices providing outpatient care located in Biddeford, Kennebunk, Saco, Sanford and Waterboro.
