- Safely load, unload and deliver products to each account.
- Drive truck over established route to deliver, stock, and stage products at customer locations.
- Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays and deliver promotional material to customers.
- Verify shipment accuracy and saleable condition of the products.
- Resolve discrepancies and customer complaints.
- Collect empty containers, and rejected, or unsold merchandise for returns.
- Complete daily inventory, orders, delivery invoices, and proof of delivery as required.
- Perform Motor Vehicle Inspections on trucks to conform to DOT regulations and company policy and assist with routine maintenance on trucks.
- Exhibit courteousness toward customers, and work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors.
- Maintain a neat appearance and follow established policies and directions of management.
- Maintain vehicle and hours of service logs as required by DOT.
- Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours.
- Must be able to operate a handheld computer.
- Must be able to operate a powered lift truck (pallet jack).
- English is the primary language skill; however, bilingual skills may be beneficial based on business necessity.
- Minimum 2 plus years of verifiable experience driving Class A commercial vehicle preferred. No restrictions. Must have Interstate access through the license.
- Must be able to pass a D.O.T. Physical and Drug Screen
- Must have a good driving record, according to company requirements.
- Must Pass clearinghouse.
- Minimum Age: 21, as per Federal D.O.T. regulations
- Experience in food/beverage product delivery and customer service preferred.
- Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data required.
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills required.
- Must be organized and detail oriented.
- DSD experience is a plus with Tier III. (Full driver unload and deliveries (DSD)
- Electric Pallet Jack experience is a plus.
- Tier Start time 3-4 AM each day. Off Sunday's and a day during the week, which will be determined at hiring.
- Total hours per week for all transportation is normally close to 50-55 hours.
- Must have valid Class A commercial driver's license with Air Brake endorsement (must also possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate in accordance with FMCSA Part prior to operating a commercial motor vehicle for the company)
- Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend.
- Must be able to routinely lift over 60 pounds and push/pull up to 300 pounds with a handheld hook.
- Will be required to work in very hot (100°+) and very cool (less than 32°) environments throughout the year.
- Will also be required to work outside most of the time, regardless of the conditions.
