Please note: We are not accepting J-1 Visa students at this time and do not sponsor visas at our park. All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of their interview and will be required to provide proof of work authorization upon hire. Please ensure you are available to attend an in-person swim-test at the date and time you select, as exceptions cannot be made to this requirement.
Roles available:
- Shallow Water Guard
- Attraction Guard
As a Shallow Water Guard or Attraction Guard, you'll be that extra set of eyes and ears that enable guests to relax and have fun. In addition to monitoring swimming areas and helping guests in distress, you'll greet and interact with guests, answer questions and resolve guest issues.
NOTE: The Aquatics season begins in May & will carry on until Labor Day. Swim Tests are offered starting in March.

As a Aquatics Ambassador you will:
- Maintain patron surveillance on water attractions of varying depth (maximum assigned depth based on level of certification), including waterslide dispatch.
- Prevent and respond to guest and ambassador emergencies.
- Maintain an acceptable level of proficiency of park knowledge, water rescue, CPR/AED, and First Aid Skills.
- Attend scheduled in-service training and participate in regular audits to maintain or increase skill level.
- Maintain cleanliness and quality of Sesame Place waterpark and support areas.
- Consistently practice safe work habits including, but not limited to use of personal protective equipment, lifting and reporting of unsafe situations.
- Work as part of a team to increase productivity.
- Provide excellent service to guests and ambassadors.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- At least 16 years of age
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to stand and walk in extreme weather conditions for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be successfully pass pre-requisite Swim Test for one of 2 classifications of lifeguard.
- Must be able to obtain an American Red Cross CPR/AED for *Professional Rescuer certification as well as one of the following lifeguarding certifications: Shallow Water Guard & Attraction Guard (0-5ft) (Training provided upon hire)
- If selected, candidates must be available to attend and successfully complete/pass five days of American Red Cross (ARC) training, followed by on-the-job training. All five days of ARC training must be completed consecutively; otherwise, the training will need to be rescheduled and restarted.
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be willing to work as part of a team.
- Must be able to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude to ensure excellent guest services.
- Must be willing to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
- Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines.
- Above all, you have to be able to keep your cool, sense problem situations and make quick decisions under stressful conditions.
- Position is determined on the completion of a Swim Test
- This is a Seasonal role
- The aquatics season runs from May 2026 through Labor Day 2026, with onboarding and all required training to be completed prior to the start of the season.
- Seasonal Ambassadors must have at least 5 days of unrestricted (12 continuous hrs. within operating hours for the area) availability to include both weekend day and holidays.
- Hours will vary based on the parks operating schedule and are not guaranteed.
- Seasonal Ambassadors may be scheduled up to 40 hours per week
