    • JOB SUMMARY
    • Enhances clinicians effectiveness by providing information management support, answering and triaging phone calls, scheduling and providing patient care related information.
    • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • Office Skills
    • Effectively and efficiently schedules patients' visits
    • Greets patients & visitors
    • Assists with answering & triaging referral telephone calls
    • Utilizes patient EMR system
    • Maintains daily statistics
    • Collect and verify insurance information for new and existing patients who have a change in insurance during course of care
    • Attains correct benefit information from insurers
    • Obtain authorization for necessary services from insurers for patient
    • Register patients,
    • Assists in obtaining patient satisfaction surveys
    • Performs other duties as requested
    • Documentation
    • Accurately copy record when requested
    • Accurately track the need for insurance reauthorizations for patients
    • Maintain accurate chart order, fax/file when indicated
    • Team Effort
    • Identifies work unit issues & implements solutions
    • Orients new staff
    • Demonstrates flexibility to help others (provide coverage, adjust work schedule to meet needs)
    • Shares knowledge with others
