    Description

    Title:

    RQ-4 Sensor Operator

    KBR is seeking an experienced UAS Sensor Operator to support tasking in support of DoD flight tests. As part of the world's largest independent flight test organization supporting both US Government agencies and commercial businesses, you will be joining a highly talented and experienced operations team that has provided over 40 continuous years of operational support to a large population of customers contributing to game changing capabilities for our national defense and transportation industry.

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Planning and executing complex flight test support operations in accordance with approved ground and flight operations procedures, US Government guidance, and operating procedures for various onboard sensor and instrumentation systems.
    • Operate these systems on the ground and inflight in support of customer requirements and ensure successful execution of the mission.
    • Develop and verify procedures and checklists for these systems and develop a training syllabus and courseware for instruction of new team members.
    • Assist the pilot in command in complying with all regulations to include DCMAI 8210, company procedures and policies of other regulatory agencies (FAA, ICAO).
    • Work within a cross functional team composed of government and contractor personnel leading, briefing, and debriefing mission readiness and results.
    • Management may assign additional duties as scope of project evolves.

    Position is based in Grand Forks, ND and occasional travel will be required.

    Education

    High School diploma.

    Experience

    Candidate must possess at least 8 years of experience as a Sensor Operator operating any fielded sensor installed on the RQ-4 Global Hawk or MQ-9 Reaper. Instructor experience required; Evaluator experience highly desired. Military flight experience highly desired. Flight Test experience desired. Must demonstrate an extensive understanding of UAV and FAA operating concepts.

    Certifications

    Past (required) or current (desired) RQ-4 or MQ-9 Sensor Operator Instructor qualification. Past Evaluator designation highly desired.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

    Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) rules and regulations governing aircraft operations, and applicable DCMAINST 8210 series is required. Applicant must have the ability to direct aircraft operations planning, scheduling, execution and debriefing in support of collateral tasks within the organization's flight program.

    Clearance

    Must be willing to submit the appropriate documentation to acquire a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal security investigation.

    Citizenship

    Must have US citizenship.
