Job summary
We are looking for a Sr Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Idaho Falls, ID As the Senior Electrical Engineer, you would be responsible for designing instrumentation & controls equipment for commercial nuclear power plants Your challenge will be creating new designs from client requirements maintaining existing designs improving performance manufacturability or replacing obsolete components providing complete product documentation packages including schematics parts lists test plans test procedures qualification reports product brochures operation and maintenance manuals providing technical support online by phone and on-site performing independent technical reviews of other engineers' plans designs and documents performing work in accordance with established Quality Assurance program and Standard Operating Procedures estimating R&D planning determining design approaches parameters selecting components equipment based on analysis of specifications reliability reviewing vendor capability to support product development
What You Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering related field 10+ years experience electrical engineering able analyze performance electronic systems circuitry conceive evaluate implement new circuit designs design changes existing circuits component level troubleshooting skills use traditional electronics test equipment consistently achieve schedule cost objectives Master's Degree electrical engineering desired experience working nuclear quality program designing safety-related products preferred experience designing circuitry mitigate EMI/RFI issues preferred experience designing relays preferred experience using OrCAD preferred
