    Role Title: Senior Director, Production Operations

    Wave Sports + Entertainment is a media company built for the next generation of digital super fans. Our core content is consistently ranked as the most highly engaged across YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and where over 130 million followers engage with our brands.

    We are seeking a Senior Director, Production Operations to manage the physical production and logistics of our digital unscripted content slate. The ideal candidate is highly organized with a proven track record of fostering high-end digital content by ideating and implementing production solutions to meet creative goals, and successfully managing production budgets to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. They'll also have a strong understanding of digital platforms and audience preferences with a passion for sports and entertainment.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate closely with the creative team to understand project requirements and objectives and translate this plan into high-quality, engaging digital content
    • Develop and manage comprehensive budgets for digital content production, ensuring cost efficiency throughout the process
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the production ops, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of team members
    • Build workflows for remote video podcast and event productions enabling teams and talent in varied locations to collaborate efficiently throughout the production and post-production process
    • Evaluate and hire vendors and crew in multiple markets around the world, negotiate contracts, and manage external partnerships to support production needs
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive production strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives
    • Work closely with Finance on production budgets and Legal departments on clearances as needed
    • Identify potential risks and troubleshoot issues to keep projects on track
    • Maintain clear and open communication channels between all stakeholders involved in the production process
    • Stay up-to-date with digital industry trends and best practices to enhance the quality and efficiency of production processes for digital and social content
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages creativity and excellence
    Qualifications
    • 7+ years experience leading productions and teams in the digital content space
    • Highly skilled at creating and managing budgets and corresponding trackers with transparent documentation and communication
    • Expert organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail
    • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
    • Proactive, with the ability to anticipate obstacles and problem solve under pressure while remaining even keel
    • Strong experience organizing production workflows and assets
    • Strong understanding of digital media trends and how audiences consume content across platforms
    Physical Requirements
    • Capacity to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery and computer/printer
    • The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
    • Work is sedentary and involves sitting most of the time
    • Able to work full time M-F and nights and weekends as needed
    Work Environment
    • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and work is performed in a business office environment
    • The worker may be exposed to variable lighting conditions (brightness or darkness) and noise during productions when in office
    • If required to work at any Company office, location, or with any Company employee, the worker must provide written proof of COVID-19 vaccination from the vaccine administrator or a CDC vaccination card, which includes the vaccination place, date(s), and name of vaccine

    This role is a full-time, exempt position with a base salary range of $150,000 - $175,000 per year, and may be eligible for an annual bonus and equity.
