    Job Description

    Duties:

    • Develop latest technology based interactive tools and analytics that highlight drivers of portfolio risk, factor exposures, areas of portfolio concentration etc.
    • Implement risk limit frameworks and oversee the breach resolution process for covered investment centers
    • Partner with investment teams to enhance their understanding of risk exposures and deliver superior insight into portfolio construction process
    • Partner with other stakeholders across the business and actively participate in portfolio review process with CIO and PMs
    • Undertake quant projects regarding portfolio construction, portfolio style or other relevant topics and generate clear, articulate and actionable analysis for relevant stakeholders
    • Present on risk matters internally and externally
    • Engage the technology group in support of furthering the quality, structure and use of risk data throughout the organization and to facilitate the delivery of state-of-the-art risk analytics and risk models
    • Develop and maintain knowledge of financial markets, securities, general investment themes and regulatory issues to bring an informed perspective to the risk management processes.
    Requirements:
    • Must have a Master's degree in Statistics, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or related quantitative field.
    • Must have 4 years of experience in portfolio analyst or research positions within the financial industry asset management space performing/utilizing the following:
      • Evaluating fundamentally managed equity portfolios and partnership with portfolio managers and conducting in depth portfolio reviews with managers.
      • Utilizing BARRA, Bloomberg, FactSet, and Morningstar, to analyze equity funds and manage portfolio construction.
    • Must have 1 year of experience with the following:
      • Statistical modelling, PCA and machine learning models, and model evaluation and validation
      • Applying advanced programming skills in Python
        Using third party libraries, including pandas, numpy, and sklearn
      • Automating across various systems for financial technology platforms.
    • Position may be eligible to work hybrid/remotely but is based out of and reports to Invesco offices in New York, NY. Must be available to travel to New York, NY regularly for meetings and reviews with manager and project teams within 24-hours' notice.
