    Resident Service Coordinator/Allanza

    Compass for Affordable Housing (FAH) is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization. Compass FAH serves families, singles, and seniors residing in affordable housing communities. Our services include an after-school program for resident youth and adult support services that include health & wellness classes, financial education, job readiness assistance, etc.

    We are currently hiring a Part-Time Resident Service Coordinator to work at Allanza, located at 46575 Clinton St., Indio CA The position offers a flexible schedule Monday-Friday with some events occasionally being hosted on a Saturday. This is an Independent Contractor position and pays $20.00 an hour.

    Job Summary:
    • After School Program, you will be tasked with operating the after-school program (ASP) at Allanza, helping school-age children with their homework, as well as providing occasional, child-friendly activities. This role will require 10 hours per week of after-school programing to be held over a minimum of 3 days per week (Monday-Friday).
    • The position will also provide adult education events throughout the year. Your role will be to coordinate the events, working with outside facilitators to bring in a variety of workshops for the residents. The community must host a minimum of 84 hours per year of these types of events. You'll work closely with your manager to ensure that the annual requirements are met.
    • Admin Hours: you may bill for up to 2 additional hours per week for administrative tasks directly related to program preparation or providing necessary paperwork to your supervisor.

    A successful candidate will:
    • This position calls for an energetic, self-starter who will take the initiative to help others.
    • Must be a high school graduate or possess GED equivalency.
    • Must have one year work or volunteer experience working with adults and children.
    • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
    • Be a creative self-starter and enjoy helping others.
    • Be willing to take and pass a background check.
    • Possess strong communication skills.
    • Ability to promote resident services through outreach.
    • Bilingual is preferred but not mandatory.
