    Senior Tax Corporate Accountant

    Fitch Group is currently seeking an Associate Director based out of our New York office.

    The Finance team operates under a global management structure with the global department heads. The teams are distinguished in four regions: NA, EMEA, LATAM and APAC.

    The candidate will join the North America Finance team, reporting into the Controllership group.

    We'll Count on You To:
    • Assist with tax audit responses, corporate income tax, sales tax, and IDRs
    • Prepare monthly tax journals, update reserves, and reconciliations
    • Prepare and file sales and use tax returns including GST, CRT, B&O Tax, and CAT
    • Attend and participate in audit conference calls
    • Be the point of contact for corporate tax policy across the organization
    • Review foreign withholding tax
    • Research tax laws and rules to ensure compliance with state laws
    • Assist corporate income tax team with year-end schedules
    • Assist in the preparation of annual apportionment schedule
    What You Need to Have:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
    • 3 years post-graduation accounting & tax experience
    • Desire to pursue a career in Corporate Tax matters
    • Experience solving complex problems independently and within a team environment
    • Ability to prioritize responsibilities, multi-task, and meet deadlines
    • Strong understanding of sales tax compliance, payroll tax, nexus rules
    • Excel proficiency
    What Would Make You Stand Out:
    • CPA, MS in Tax
    • Experience managing tax audits through completion
    • Working knowledge of ASC 740
    • Ability to explain tax topics in simple terms
    • Experience with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle)

    FOR NEW YORK AND CALIFORNIA ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay salary range for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch's total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
