JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced CDL Driver/ Warehouse worker to join our team for our production warehouse located in Elliston, VA . This position would consist of working in the warehouse and act as an back up driver.

The CDL Driver is responsible for proper shipping and handling of chemicals, in various quantities including bulk, and ion-exchange columns to and from client sites and the ProChem, Inc. warehouse. The warehouse portion you will be responsible for picking and pulling orders along with loading and unloading shipments.

Pay is split while driving and working in the warehouse

Pay range for CDL Driver: $28 - $31 per hour

Pay range for Warehouse worker: $24 - $25.50 per hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The essential functions this person is responsible for include but are not limited to the

following tasks:

Drive and maintain company vehicles (e.g., vans, pickup trucks, tankers, and

automobiles), including standard transmission vehicles.

Maintain excellent driving record.

Maintain a written log of site visits and drive times.

Assist with loading and unloading of the truck

Assist with column removal and minor repair/adjustment for the purposes of

picking up spent columns or installing new ones. (Training provided)

Cross-trained on driving a forklift, pick orders and processing incoming inventory

paperwork.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

This person must demonstrate the ability to:

Present a positive and professional image at all times to clients and co-workers.

Maintain effective and cordial communication between clients and co-workers.

Understand and properly complete order forms and bills of lading and other

paperwork associated with deliveries and pick-ups.

Follow standard safety and handling procedures, including proper use of PPE

and compliance with such requirements.

TRAINING, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE

Experience with driving commercial vehicles and completing deliveries is required.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

CDL certification is required plus the following.

Class A

Endorsement X: Permits you to drive a tank vehicle AND a vehicle that transports

hazardous materials.

Flat bet plus Conestoga experience required.

Experience with loading and unloading required. (hazardous materials preferred)

Some overnight stays may be required but occur infrequently.

Overtime available.

This position is required to utilize a respirator occasionally for some tasks.

Compliance with the requirements of PCI respiratory program is required. This

includes passing a fit test annually and remaining clean shaven on the face to

ensure proper, safe fit of the respirator.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

The person performing the function of Delivery Driver must be able to meet the physical

requirements of the position, which includes but is not limited to lifting up to 70lbs,

working for extended periods outdoors, sitting for extended periods.

Safety transporting up to 300lbs utilizing a hand dolly.

This position is required to maintain a DOT medical card and pass an annual fit test for the respiratory program.
