- Develop market research objectives to help the organization meet local and corporate strategic goals
- Oversee the maintenance and entering of all company's marketing databases
- Oversee the group's pricing function.
- Review all pricing from cost accounting for reasonableness before sending out to Key Account Sales Managers.
- Monitor price requests for timeliness. Suggest methods for improving speed and accuracy.
- Review and approve all sales and marketing reports, forecasts and materials.
- Review and approve the annual advertising budget.
- Make suggestions for the submission of work for industry awards
- Establish relationship with Company's Group marketing and communication departments.
- Director over the Marketing & Sales Coordinator's position. Provide direct supervision and leadership to the position.
- Coach, counsel and appraise the Marketing & Sales Coordinator
- Recruit, select, orientate, and train all marketing coordinator openings and their subsequent filling
- Develop marketing budget to include salaries, travel, advertising budget, and the use of third party consultants.
- Coordinate the strategic planning process
- Prepare presentation for annual review and buy in by senior staff. Help communicate strategic plan at site level.
- Oversee all customer satisfaction surveys
- Introduce new products to assigned accounts
- Attend and participate in sales meetings
- Participate in trade shows
- Bachelor Degree and a minimum of 5-10 years related sales and marketing experience
- Experience in flex, consumer, or rigid plastics packaging industry
- Experience managing direct reports OR experience managing own projects
