    Description

    **HIRING NOW $17/hr MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER - GARLAND, TX**

    WAPCO - Work Area Protection Company) is an industry-leading manufacturer of an extensive range of transportation safety products such as barrier solutions for roads, highways, and bridges - primarily metalworking and assembly.

    *This location assembles the orange construction signs you see that say have the digital messaging "Slow Down Construction Ahead"

    $17.00/hr - 1st shift

    1st Shift 6:00 am - 2:30 pm (Must be okay working OT when required)

    Monday - Friday (OCCASIONAL SATURDAY'S REQUIRED)

    MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH HAND & POWER TOOLS.

    MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 50+ LBS CONSISTENTLY

    MUST HAVE STEEL TOE BOOTS.

    Assembles different trailer components for the production process of metal highway/road transportation products.

    Remove and install components as part of the assembly process.

    Working with aluminum and other metals/materials weighing 50+ lbs consistently.

    Ability to read instruction drawings, blueprints/schematics, and technical documentation on how to put pieces together.

    Full training will be provided

    Pay increase opportunity once permanent, amount TBD based on performance.
