    Job Title: Waste Management Associate

    Targeted Hourly Pay: $22/hour

    Work Schedule: 1st shift only, from 7 am to 3 pm, with an additional 4-5 hours of overtime per week. Monday to Friday schedule, with no work on Saturdays.

    Position Overview:

    As a Waste Management Associate, you will be responsible for various hazardous and non-hazardous waste tasks involving the handling of solids and liquids. Tasks may include manual labor, decontamination, vacuum projects, and container handling for processing or transportation.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Load and unload containers of different sizes.
    • Construct, label, and load boxes and containers.
    • Utilize tools such as impact wrenches, shovels, and jackhammers.
    • Transport hazardous materials within the facility.
    • Decontaminate and dispose of empty drums according to regulations.
    • Complete necessary paperwork for material processing and transportation.
    • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety in the work area.
    • Inspect material handling equipment.
    • Assist in loading/unloading hazardous materials at designated sites.
    • Perform any other assigned duties.

    Requirements:

    • High School diploma or GED preferred.
    • 3 to 6 months of prior experience in hazardous waste or chemical industry.

    Skill Set:

    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in material handling equipment.

    Certifications:

    • 40-Hour HAZWOPER training is preferred.
