    Description


    Provides residents assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) while recognizing the importance of their dignity and respect at all times.

    Performing all functions necessary to the health and well being of the residents.


    Essential Functions:


    Provides quality care and assistance to residents in accordance with the resident philosophy and policies and resident rightsAssists residents in meeting their physical, emotional and spiritual needsAdheres to each residents Level of Care (LOC), notifies supervisor of any changes in residents conditionAnswers and responds to resident calls in a timely mannerAssists residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL)Checks residents every two (2) hours and reports findingsCompletes assignment sheets daily.

    Encourages residents to attend meals in the dining room by escorting to and from Dining roomAssists residents with meals in ways that meet their individual needs and desires, while being cognizant of changes in appetites and physical abilities to eat and drinkAssists with cleaning and setting the dining room as directed by supervisorAssists with cleaning and tidying residents room as directed by supervisorAssists with residents personal laundry as directed by supervisorEstablishes and maintains good relationships with residents and their familiesDisposes of all incontinent products according to OSHA regulations and Company policyPractices proper body mechanics when lifting following safety guidelinesResponds to resident emergenciesWorks assigned scheduleFollows proper procedure for clocking in and out for shiftsFollows guidelines for uniforms and wears name badge dailyFollows policy on signing equipment in and out, and uses Company assigned equipment properly as intendedNon-Essential Functions:Leads by example exhibiting the CORE Values through servant leadershipEncourages teamwork and promotes company philosophyAttends required community meetings and participates Life Enrichment activities when ableCompletes all required courses in adherence with HRA UniversityIs prompt and able to perform the required duties of the position on a regular, predictable basisBecomes familiar and understands how to report a missing person using the Safe Return program or equivalentBecomes familiar and understands the steps for fire evacuationAll associates are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all community residentsQualifications/Skills/

    Educational Requirements:
    Must have a high school educationNon
    • Certification with proper training, or possession of valid state certification as C.
    N.A.1 3 years experience in a senior care community or nursing home environment preferredHas a good understanding of how Dementia and Alzheimers Disease can affect behaviorAble to communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates, residents, family members, and outside contactsMust possess a passion to work with and around senior citizens#J-18808-Ljbffr
