Job summary
The Per Diem PET/CT Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) imaging technology. The technologist administers radiopharmaceuticals, contrast media, and completes patient exam documentation.
- Imaging: Performs all aspects of PET/CT exams according to policies and procedures. Prepares patients for scanning and operates nuclear medicine instruments.
- Administration of Radioactive Materials: Provides direct patient care skills including intravenous administration of radioactive materials while thoroughly explaining testing procedures before during exam.
