    Permanent Recruiter Email : Seeking a full-time Neurohospitalist in Hartford to perform general neurology consultations, testing, inpatient care, and ambulatory care of neurology patients


    Responsibilities include:

    performing assessments and management of patients with neurologic conditions, including patients with stroke and cerebrovascular disease; ordering and assessing diagnostic studies of patient symptoms; providing clinical management including patient and family education and appropriate medical referrals; working as part of multidisciplinary team and with other departments and divisions within and without the Group; participating in clinical research and quality improvement programs at hospital and system level; participating in educational programs for medical students, graduate medical students, advanced practitioners, and nurses; attending Grand Rounds; documenting encounters and billing of direct patient contact with neurologic patients; providing services in accordance with assignment, coverage and on-call schedules; performing general neurology and Tele-Neurology consult services, inpatient second attending, and weekend call services on rotating schedule.

    This position is full-time, minimum requirements: possession of MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent; possession of eligibility for valid, unrestricted Connecticut medical license; completion of three-year accredited Neurology residency; board eligibility or certification in Neurology; and eligibility for malpractice insurance
