    JOB SUMMARY

    The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for oversight and execution of purchasing duties: sourcing, negotiating vendor terms, prices, and schedules.

    Playing a key role in the organization the Supply Chain Manager will perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, maintain supplier scorecards, maintain vendor contracts, and continually seek out best value suppliers, with a goal of maximizing both profitability and cash flow for Adaptec Solutions.

    The role is a self-motivated, proactive, quality focused buyer, ready to assume full ownership of the department and work well with multiple stakeholders: engineering team, finance team, project managers ,

    supply chain teams, the sales team, and the manufacturing teams.
    JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    Effectively builds relationships with suppliers to support various locations that include, Rochester, NY, Painted Post, NY, and Memphis, TN.
    Negotiate supplier agreements, terms & conditions, and rebate programs on an annual basis, for key suppliers.
    Development and administration of Adaptec Solutions' competitive bid process.

    Collaboration with engineering and operations on vendor selection with a strategy based on a joint decision-making process that focuses on vendors that add value and provide a competitive advantage.

    Engages vendors to ensure deliverables are on time, on cost target and within technical scope.
    Annual spend analysis and development of targeted cost savings objectives.
    Establish vendor performance metrics and hold vendors accountable for Offer to Purchase (OTP) and quality objectives.
    Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
    Manages a team of buyers executing procurement for assigned region(s).
    Support value analysis (VA)/value engineering (VE) projects engaging suppliers as part of the process.
    Develop a diverse vendor network to support all locations.

    Assist local Operations leads to implement Kanban and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs in all locations for appropriate high-volume items.

    Identify, develop and execute a supply chain departmental growth initiative, including HC forecasting and budgeting for multiple locations.
    Travel is estimated at approximately 20%.
    Train new hires and mentor staff on internal processes.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    B.A. or B.S. in supply chain management, logistics or business administration or equivalent years of experience.
    8+ years of demonstrated experience in a senior purchasing or sourcing role
    Strategic sourcing, multiple location experience preferred
    Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management
    Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills

    Strong numerical analysis skills and associated MS 365 (or equivalent) skill set
    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $100,000-$130,000. The salary range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Adaptec Solutions considers factors including, but not limited to experience and geographic location.
