    NEW 100 BED SHELTER FOR WOMEN SET TO OPEN LATE SUMMER IN FAR ROCKAWAY


    DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:


    Facilitate multiple groups each day aimed at improving client motivation, client behavior in and outside the facility, and community relations and behavior in the neighborhood.

    Work with clients on positive reinforcement-based initiative. Offer groups related to preparation for independent living. Recreational opportunities such as offsite trips and card/game tournaments. Related duties as assigned.


    HOURS:

    Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

    • Tues/Thurs/Sat 9:30am6pm; Wed 9am5:30pm; Fri 10am6:30pm

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    High School diploma/GED required. Bachelors Degree in Arts preferred. Experience working with MICA clients in both individual and group modalities preferred. Good written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organization and ability to use independent judgment. CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR. Basic computer literacy required.

    • Vaccination Preferred but not required.
