    Position Summary:

    The Customer Service Representative - Floater will be required to be proficient in the day-to-day operations of customer service and shipping.

    An employee in this position will display leadership traits and will support both the customer service and shipping teams to provide a high level of initiative internally and external support for Avanti's customers.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    include the following:

    Facilitation of day-to-day operations supporting customer service job functions, which include but are not limited to:
    Providing quotation requests, Create and process all new orders, Complete order verification process, Invoice all completed shipments.
    Answering customer inquiries via email and telephone
    Executing customer service tasks associated with Millipore-Sigma
    Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any of their needs
    Perform the order picking selection process within a walk-in freezer, enduring temperatures as low as -20°C or lower
    Execute and coordinate shipments of dangerous goods materials adhering to IATA rules and regulations
    Perform systematic and in person inventory management tasks
    Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the entire shipping process

    Education and/ or Experience:
    High school diploma or equivalent. 3-5 years' experience preferred.


    Skills and Abilities:
    Strong attention to detail
    High level of reliability
    Ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
    Strong organizational skills
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Self-motivated
    Ability to work both in a team environment and work independently.

    Must demonstrate leadership traits - communicates well, is dependable, leads by example, enthusiastic, shows initiative and integrity while performing responsibilities of the position.

    Demonstrates the ability to problem solve with minimal to no assistance.
    Must demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
    Exercises sound judgment and knows when to request assistance and when to make a decision.


    Other Qualifications:
    PIT Certified (LP & Electric)
    Knowledge of ERP & SAP software (Preferred, but not required)
    Knowledge of MS Office software
    Understanding of international trade and customs regulations


    Physical Demands:


    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, listen and depict instructions, interact with customers, consumers, and/ or other employees.

    Has the ability to lift to 50 lbs. (Approved PPE provided, if requested)

    Must physically be able to bend at the knees in order to reach designated locations during the order selection process.

    Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time.
    Must be physically able to walk long distances.
    Must be physically able to work in -20°C freezer for extended time periods- (Safety PPE provided)

    Work Environment:
    This job takes place in both an office setting, in addition to a walk-in freezer setting.
