    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled Project Architect/Specification Writer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in preparing project specifications for bidding and construction.

    In this role, you will coordinate with architects, engineers, interior designers, owners, construction managers, and other specialty consultants to produce high-quality project manuals. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

    As a successful candidate, you will possess excellent technical writing skills, a comprehensive understanding of various design disciplines, and the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You will also be expected to stay up-to-date with industry trends, new materials, and code changes to provide valuable insights to project teams.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare written architectural project specifications/project manuals for bidding and construction
    • Review drawings and schedules, identify technical solutions to design challenges
    • Communicate progress to project managers according to established project schedules and work plans
    • Provide material/product technical and construction documentation support to the firm

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    To succeed in this role, you will need:

    • Ten or more years of architectural practice experience with a minimum of five years of experience writing architectural project specifications
    • Bachelor of Architecture degree from an accredited program
    • Construction Documents Technology (CDT) certification
    • Knowledge of applicable construction codes and procedures
