    Warehouse Manager/Purchaser

    Due to the increasing growth of our company, we are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Warehouse Manager / Purchaser to optimize and coordinate our logistics and purchasing processes. As a leader, you will carry a high level of responsibility and work autonomously to ensure the smooth operation of our supply chain.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain the highest standards for safety performance, leading with a personal example and a well-communicated vision.
    • Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, gate processes, and shipping methods.
    • Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service.
    • Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
    • Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
    • Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
    • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
    • Assess, manage and mitigate risks.
    • Foster a culture of open and respectful communication.
    • Develop and evaluate key performance indicators to measure supply chain performance and identify improvement potentials.
    • Ensure internal financial controls at the facility are met by partnering with operations and accounting functions at your sites.

    Required Skills

    • Minimum 5 - 6 years of experience of verifiable warehousing experience required, with at least 3 years specifically in plant equipment and materials purchasing.
    • Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
    • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills – conflict management, coaching, supportive feedback, and problem solving. Ability to function as an effective team member.
    • Strong mechanical and technical knowledge. Demonstrated track record of success in a complex and fast paced manufacturing environment.
    • Must be computer literate, including a strong background in MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and purchasing software.
    • Good written and verbal communication skills.
    • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Lean manufacturing/5S experience a plus.

    Environmental Conditions

    • Must be able to tolerate extreme hot, humid, cold, and outdoor conditions. Comfortable working in a loud environment, around moving machinery, with vibrations and airborne particles (sawdust).
