    Position Summary :

    Responsible for contracting and operational oversight functions for vendors in connection with each business unit owner to avoid risk, reduce spend, improve efficiency, and enhance the quality of vendor relationships and their respective products and/or services.

    Oversees the overall delivery of multiple and/or complex projects. Defines priority through administrative ownership of the Project Governance Board and drives projects accordingly.

    Responsible for hiring, orienting, training, assigning, coaching, mentoring, counseling and performance oversight for the vendor management and project management teams.

Create and maintain vendor management policies, tools, and document performance evidence. Build and maintain good relationships with already approved old and new vendors. Researching new vendors based on price and quality and selecting them based on the vendor management plan.

    ​​​​​ Management and oversight of vendors including but not limited to those providing delegated service, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements, Regularly analyzing the sales trends to understand the market value of different products.

    Interacting with new vendors to explain the expectations and responsibilities.

    Collaborate with different departments to manage the relationships, including but not limited to, pre-delegation audits, ongoing oversight, corrective action plans, measure performance, etc.

    Connect with stakeholders on vendor contract renewal efforts; provide past performance and KPI assessments for consideration.

    Works closely with legal, operations, sales, finance, and other stakeholders during the negotiation of a vendor agreement to ensure alignment of overall objectives and key terms.

    Support risk assessment requirements to ensure compliance of vendor partner products/services. Provide escalation support for business or revenue impacting vendor performance or delivery.

    issues through the creation of vendor remediation plans; Track and support ongoing management of outstanding vendor escalations to final resolution.

    Leads Project Governance Board meetings and supports the overall structure outlined in the committee charter. Manage staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance of duties.

    Develops and maintains departmental policies and procedures and desktop procedures according to current business needs as well as industry and regulatory requirements.

    Qualifications :

Five (5) years of experience working in a health care or health insurance organization. Working knowledge of health insurance regulations and requirements (State Department of Insurance, ERISA, Department of Labor, HIPAA, etc.).

    Graduation in marketing, sales, business administration or supply chain management Experience in dealing with vendors with negotiation and decision-making skills.

    Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability with communication skills Valid driver's license with long-driving potential and multitasking Demonstrated record of bringing large-scale projects to successful completion.


    Analytical, organizational, and communication skills:
    Vendor managers need to work with all levels across all functional areas to include internal and external business partners


    Proficiency with Microsoft Office:

    Vendor managers should have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project; Tableau; Contract management database solutions; Accounting software.

    Ability to work independently on a variety of projects in a high volume, fast paced, and sometime nebulous environment required.

    Education/Experience:
    Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or health care field required, and a background that includes coordinating vendor relationships, at least five years of experience in a related field (product management, marketing, project management, or supply chain management)


    Reasoning Ability:
    Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


    Computer Skills:

    Familiarity with Vendor Management Systems (VMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, and analytics tools Certificates and Licenses: Project Management Profession (PMP) certification or Lean Six Sigma green belt preferred Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity (CPSD), Certified Regulatory Vendor Program Manager (CRVPM), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Certified International Procurement Professional (CIPP), CompTIA Project+,SCPro Council of Supply Chain Management Fundamentals Supervisory Responsibilities : Manages subordinate employees.

    Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
