- Facilitate in-school and community-based sessions using evidence-based curricula.
- Conduct student intakes, assessments, and link them to services.
- Administer evaluation tools and collect program data.
- Assist with coalition activities to educate stakeholders on substance use issues.
- Maintain programmatic record keeping and attend training sessions to enhance skills.
- Serve as an Ambassador of Gang Alternative, Inc.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, Social Science, Criminal Justice, or related field.
- Two years of experience working with youth and families.
- Demonstrated public speaking and facilitation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish/Kreyol preferred.

Position Summary:
Gang Alternative, Inc. implements various programs under its Positive Youth Development Pillar of Service. These programs focus on youth substance abuse prevention, healthy relationships, violence prevention, and/or HIV/STI education for elementary, middle, and high school students.
The Youth Prevention Specialists facilitate sessions of evidence-based curricula, conduct student assessments, and act as liaisons to school personnel and community partners.
