Responsibilities:
We are seeking a

Technical Team Lead, Application Engineering

to lead our Business Systems team in modernizing our communication platform to meet evolving business demands.

As the Technical Team Lead, you will oversee a team responsible for managing servers, messaging and API management tools, and application development.

You will play a pivotal role in guiding the teams technical direction, fostering innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Lead a team to provide ongoing support and enhancements for our communication platform and related application environment.
Directly supervise team members, including goal setting, budget management, and personal development.
Assist the team in resolving technical problems and implementing projects, with a focus on modernizing our communication platform.
Provide guidance and mentorship to develop technical and leadership skills within the team.
Collaborate with business and technical teams to drive innovative ideas and systems design efforts.
Engage in proof-of-concept development initiatives to evaluate technologies for applicability and usability within our tech stack.
Monitor resource allocations and costs for internal and external resources.
Generate new ideas and consult with management to improve our area of responsibility.

Qualifications:
3

7+ years of experience in technical leadership roles, with a focus on application development and modernization.
Proven track record of successfully leading teams and delivering technical projects.
Strong proficiency in managing servers, messaging and API management tools, and application development.
Experience with Java, , or Python preferred, but other technologies are acceptable.
Familiarity with agile and/or scaled agile frameworks (SAFe).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact seamlessly with technical and business stakeholders.
Background in the property and casualty (P&C) insurance industry is a plus, but not required.
Bachelors degree with emphasis in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience
