    BMW of Tigardhas an exciting opportunity for aParts Counter Personto join their team

    The Parts Counter Personis responsible for assisting service technicians and team members in finding the appropriate accessories and ordering parts for repairs and upgrades to consumer vehicles. They will maintain stock of the parts department by assisting with shipping and receiving and will be in charge of maintaining the parts database.

    What will you do?

  • Assist both retail and wholesale customers with their auto parts questions and needs either in person, via telephone or through online ordering.
  • Effectively communicate features, benefits and warranty policy information to customers.
  • Pull and prepare inventory orders for customer pick up or delivery.
  • Fill orders from stock, notify customer of out-of-stock parts that need immediate attention. Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit special orders.
  • Notify the customer or service advisor when special ordered parts have arrived and when they will be delivered.
  • Follow up on back-ordered parts, verify will-call and back-order parts and returns to vendors or to stock those items not picked up or required.
  • Ensure all parts purchases are billed accordingly and paperwork is complete and reconciled.
  • Keep orderly records of all parts orders, invoices, estimates and special orders
  • Keep the parts department clean and organized.
  • What are we looking for?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One or more years of experience in automotive parts department highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of automotive parts.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
  • Target Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000/annually
