    Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit


    Campus Health (CH) is a multi-specialty ambulatory college health clinic providing quality, and affordable health care for eligible students and spouses.

    Annually, CH has more than 80,000 patient encounters, which includes Primary Care and Women's Health as well as specialty clinics in sports medicine, orthopedics, gynecology, physical therapy, counseling and psychological services, travel clinic and allergy clinic.

    Weekend acute care is provided from 8-5 PM. On site ancillary services include pharmacy, OTC pharmacy, Student Stores pharmacy, medical laboratory, and radiology.

    Campus Health has been continuously accredited since 1986 by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Health Care Organizations.

    All personnel are trained in the concepts and principles of Performance Improvement and serve as team members and leaders in shaping and defining the organization as it strives to provide quality and safe care.


    Campus Health collaborates with Student Wellness and Campus Recreation and other Student Affairs partners to provide education and outreach to assist in keeping the campus population healthy.

    Education and research comprise another important function of CH.

    CH provides clinical rotations and practicums for students in the School of Education, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Social Work and Public Health, Department of Medical Technology, Physical Therapy, Occupational Health and Radiology.

    In addition, CH serves as a research site for a number of faculty and graduate student grants and contracts, where CH staff participates with the principal investigators across a variety of medical specialties.

    Position Summary

    This position is eligible for a Sign On Bonus of $2,500 to be paid in two installment:

    * $ 1,250 within 30 days of your hire date and
    * $ 1,250 12 months after hire date

    This position performs radiographic procedures for Campus Health Services in the Radiology department and off-site in athletic facilities.

    In addition, this position will be responsible for image management, informing clients about services, monitoring equipment function, maintenance, and scheduling appointments.

    Annually review and sign Radiation Safety program policy. Perform other related duties incidental to the work herein.

    Minimum Education and Experience Requirements


    High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience in medical diagnostics; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

    ELIGIBILITY FOR SIGN-ON BONUS

    Qualified applicants must be selected from the candidate pool of this posting and meet the State policy following requirements:

    Only candidates for may be eligible for sign-on or retention bonuses.

    An employee is not eligible for a sign-on bonus if:

    * the employee has held a SHRA position in North Carolina State government, including the judicial system, or the University of North Carolina system within the last 12 months (the employee shall remain ineligible for 12 months from the separation date);
    * the employee has previously received a sign-on bonus from any North Carolina State agency or university;
    * or UNC-CH has paid any contract placement or recruitment fees.

    This SHRA Sign-on Bonus is contingent upon budget and final eligibility determination as of the effective date of hire. All recipients must sign the Pay Back Agreement form.
