We are seeking a talented Sr. DevOps Engineer to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in Reston, VA. As a Sr. DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in translating customer requirements and future goals into innovative solutions that support a mission-critical defense IT system.

Responsibilities:

Develop custom applications and support them in a production environment.
Build and support DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines with 5+ years of experience.
Work with containerization, building images, and orchestrating deployments in Kubernetes with 3+ years of experience.
Manage tools deployed with Helm using ArgoCD or Flux and write custom Helm charts with 2+ years of experience.
Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef.
Knowledge of container networking, monitoring, and storage solutions.
TS/SCI clearance is required.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience developing in Java or Python.
Experience with Prometheus/Grafana and/or ElasticSearch/Kibana and FluentD.
Design, deployment, and management of Cloud environments, including AWS or Azure.
Experience with continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipeline solutions or tools, including Jenkins, Git, or TeamCity.
Experience with system integration using a variety of protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML.
Scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby and leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration.
Knowledge of cloud and virtualization-based technologies, including Docker, Azure, AWS, or VMware.
Knowledge of Linux or UNIX administration and automation.
Knowledge of foundational system administration principles.
Knowledge of and experience with classified environment processes and protocols.
Kubernetes certification is desired.
