    JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S
    Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II
    JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges
    JOB SUMMARY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES Under general supervision of a senior-level engineer, a Field Engineer II performs a variety of fundamental field engineering tasks involved in the installation, operations, testing, and maintenance of electronic equipment and systems

    Employee will be responsible to perform the following functions/duties: Analyze project survey objectives, specifications, and requirements in order to prepare and execute surveys and to assist in project planning and project timeline development.

    Plan and conduct ground surveys designed to establish fixed points, baselines, elevations, and other geodetic measurements using electronic total stations and satellite-based global positioning systems (GPS).

    Record the results of surveys, including shape, contour, locations, elevations, and dimensions as required.
    Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, and reports of surveys in order to describe, clarify, and explain work performed
    Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.

    Compute geodetic measurements and interpret survey data in order to determine position, shapes, and elevations of geomorphic and topographic features.

    Be familiar with AutoCad, ESRI, Trimble software and hardware systems.
    Perform other job-related duties, as required.
    DESIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS Certified Survey Technician (CST) from the National Society of Professional Surveyors
    LSIT Certification (land surveyor in training
    Surveying/Geometrics Degree - or similar
    REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION, TECHNICAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE An associate's degree in engineering or other technical discipline, or formal academic/vocational/military training and a minimum of 7 years of technical/professional experience in the specialty field are required for this position
    In addition, a Field Engineer II must possess the following qualifications: Professional knowledge of applicable engineering concepts and principles and familiarity with related engineering fields
    Practical knowledge of test methods and practices sufficient to perform routine to more complex engineering procedures and to prepare or make minor modifications of standard test procedures or test equipment work instructions
    Effective verbal and written communication skills
    Planning/organizational skills.
    SALARY The expected pay range for this position is $79,040.00 to $85,280.00 annually
    The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay

    Travel to remote company work locations may be required
