    JOB SUMMARY
    THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE AF DCGS PROGRAM AT ROBINS AF, GA.

    The Data Manager shall be able to plan, develop, implement, and administer information systems for the acquisition, storage, and retrieval of data.


    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


    Create, extract, and expand identification information from documents to facilitate proper filing by technical, programmatic, and process criteria; document change requests, data release requests, data storage systems, and document control practices; analyze and recommend changes in policy and application of existing data management processes.

    Documenting and delivering file plansMaintaining a variety of electronic files and websites utilizing web-based applicationsAnalyzing and recommending data requirements and specificationsDesigning, normalizing, developing, installing, and implementing databasesMaintaining, monitoring, performance tuning, backup, and recovery of databasesInstalling, configuring, and maintaining database management systems softwareAnalyzing and planning for anticipated changes in data capacity requirementsDeveloping and administering data standards, policies, and proceduresDeveloping and implementing data mining and data warehousing programsEvaluating and providing recommendations on new database technologies and architecturesEnsuring the rigorous application of information security/ cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of data management servicesPerforming MS SharePoint administration duties.

    Responsible for providing technical support for the SharePoint environment including assessment and implementation of new capabilities.


    Duties may include:


    Configuring SharePoint services and settingsDocumenting SharePoint configuration and architectureManaging site quotas and file size limitsReviewing and monitoring usage reportsManaging content databases and creating new ones as requiredAdministering and maintaining sitesManaging site layout structure and contentProviding SharePoint support to end users.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


    Two (2) years' experience in creating, extracting, and expanding identification information from documents to facilitate proper filing by technical, programmatic, and process criteria, document change requests, data release requests, data storage systems, document control practices (experience)MA/MS with 12 years programmatic experience with 5 years DoD experience ORBA/BS with 15 years programmatic experience with 5 years DoD experience ORCertifications with 20 years programmatic experience with 8 years DoD experience.


    SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
    Must have a minimum of an active U.S. SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation.
    Driving or renting a car for company business is expected with some frequency. For insurance purposes, a valid driver's license is required.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

    TRAVEL REQUIRED
    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position for meetings, trainings, and/or site visits.
