If you're looking for the next great step in your career, this might be itPosition DescriptionThe successful candidate needs to possess, understand and be able to apply their knowledge and experience to implementing full life-cycle projects. This includes everything from proposal and conception to commissioning and close-out. Projects will include capacity, process, and reliability improvements for areas throughout the facility.Job Responsibilities
The following are some of the key job responsibilities:
• Lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams to develop project scope and requirements.
• Develop and manage project scope, resourcing plan, budget, and schedule.
• Prepare capital authorizations.
• Develop specifications and evaluate technical engineering and equipment bid packages.
• Administer engineering, equipment purchases and installation contracts.
• Coordinate and manage installations and outages.
• Track and report final project performance, schedule, and cost compliance.
• Review design packages and drawings for compliance with contract documents and company standards.
• Coordinate with internal Operations, Maintenance, Technical, and Engineering resources to achieve project objectives.
• Participate in the final check-out of new installations. This includes factory and site acceptance testing that will assure adherence to functional specifications.
• Assist in trouble-shooting equipment control and electrical systems.
• Coordinate and support electrical safety initiatives and Kaiser electrical standardsJob Qualifications
• BSEE or BSET is required.
• Minimum of 5 years previous electrical engineering experience and demonstrated experience managing projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with electrical and control system design including key documents, such as schematics diagrams, single lines, P&ID and control narratives.
• Knowledge of low and medium voltage electrical systems, AC/DC motors and drive systems and National Electrical Code and NFPA 70E
• Knowledge of control system theory, instrumentation, PLC based control systems and safety systems.
• Excellent analytical skills including knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
• Strong Word, Excel, MS Project skills.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to work in teams and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Compensation and Benefits
The following is the compensation and benefits:
• Salary range $103,000-$123,000 per year depending on experience.
• High deductible medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, including spouse and children (modest payroll deductions)
• 10 paid holidays per year
• Vacation (2-4 weeks depending on experience)
• Supplemental leave (used in conjunction with State Paid Family & Medical Leave)
• 401K with matching company funds
• Bonus available with a target of 8%
• Tuition reimbursementCOMPENSATION IF YOU TRANSITION TO A PERMANENT W2 EMPLOYEE:If after SkillBridge, we both decide it's a good mutual fit to convert to a permanent W2 Employee (the goal), you can expect an average first-year salary range of $103,000 - $123,000.
