    At Wallace Electric, the Vice President of Operations (VPO) plays a pivotal role in overseeing the successful execution of construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards across all phases of project development and implementation.

    Reporting directly to the President, the VPO is entrusted with providing strategic leadership and guidance to ensure the realization of Wallace Electric's vision, mission, and strategic objectives. They are expected to demonstrate exceptional leadership abilities, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the construction operations team.

    Responsibilities:
    • Promote and uphold the company's culture, values, and vision.
    • Drive safety, quality, and profitability to meet or exceed organizational goals and performance metrics.
    • Oversee day-to-day operations of construction activities, collaborating closely with Safety, Quality Control, and Project Management teams.
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
    • Evaluate and optimize organizational structure for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Develop and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to gauge top-line growth, operational efficiency, and project performance.
    • Set ambitious yet achievable goals for company performance and staff development.
    • Lead innovation initiatives, facilitating the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of construction and project management policies, processes, and tools.
    • Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain high-performing teams, providing mentorship and professional growth opportunities.
    • Ensure consistent and effective performance management practices for all employees.

    Requirements:
    • Must have GA unrestricted electrical contractors license.
    • Proven track record in construction management or related leadership roles.
    • Demonstrated success in strategic leadership, with the ability to articulate and gain buy-in for organizational vision and direction.
    • Exemplifies professional conduct consistent with company values and client expectations.
    • Proficient in team building, capable of attracting, hiring, onboarding, and developing top talent.
    • Skilled in fostering a culture of accountability, quality, and client satisfaction.
    • Experience in process strategy development and implementation.
    • Exceptional planning and organizational skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
    • Thorough understanding of construction management processes, policies, and tools.
    • Familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions.
    • Strong knowledge of relevant regulations, quality standards, and human resources practices.
    • Proficiency in utilizing CRM, accounting, and construction/project management software platforms.
