Job summary
To ensure organizational excellence the incumbent performs Sexual Assault Victim Examinations on victims/survivors of sexual violence crimes Throughout exam provides sensitivity and understanding to promote recovery and healing for victims of sexual violence Performs an appropriate and detailed physical medical or forensic examination to collect evidence and lab specimens in accordance with the SAVE program protocol Maintains understanding and sensitive disposition for victims/survivors of sexual assault to ensure comfort during the exam process Creates a thorough and accurate medical record on each client examined in accordance with SAVE program protocol Provides medical advice and referrals for SAVE clients as appropriate Attends monthly SAVE Team meetings May participate in performing SAVE AFTERcare Clinic exams according to Sexual Assault Services protocol Participates in training as needed to remain current on best practice in the field Works independently
