    Heavy Equipment Operator

    Job Summary:

    MACCS EXCAVATING LLC is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Hartford, SD. This individual will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to help with excavation, construction, and other related projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and graders in a safe and efficient manner
    • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and keep machines in good working condition
    • Read and interpret construction plans to ensure accurate and precise excavation and grading
    • Collaborate with construction team members to complete projects on schedule and within budget
    • Foster a safe work environment by following all safety regulations and protocols

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or excavation setting
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
    • Physical strength and stamina to perform the duties of the job
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    Compensation:

    The salary for this position is estimated at $65,000 per year, based on industry standards for Heavy Equipment Operators in the Hartford, SD area.
