    Job Description

    Jefferson Consulting Group, an award-winning, minority- and woman-owned small business, is recruiting senior-level personnel interested in a Project Director position in support of the U.S. Agency for International Development's (USAID) Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI) . The desired candidates must have senior-level operations/management experience in support of a USAID demand-driven contract for professional and strategic services. Desired candidates have experience with USAID regulations and policies, including having supported challenging operating environments where OTI works.

    Jefferson senior-level Project Directors provide leadership, strategic guidance, and oversight for both their staff and programs. They oversee operations and project finances and serve as the key company representative for the project to ensure strong collaboration with subcontractors, the U.S. Government client and other partners.

    The Project Director must be an upper-level management official with extensive knowledge of the USAID program and budget cycle and strong knowledge of communications, administration, logistics, procurement, staffing/recruitment, budgeting, finances, and reporting.

    The Project Director will be the designated person for overall and day-to-day management of the contract performance of the Task Order and the "One Team" relationship with USAID/OTI, including coordination and communications with the USAID/OTI TOCOR.

    Qualified candidate must have:

    - Experience working in or supporting programs in fragile or transitional environments, including experience with a Contractor managing a program from the home office and in managing multiple projects/activities competing for shared resources.
    - At least five (5) years of experience working on USAID projects in a related role, including demonstrated experience managing personnel and resources.
    - Experience with the USG's policies and procedures in regards to human resources, financial management, financial reporting, procurement processes, and systems.
    - Experience and knowledge in training, facilitation, coaching, organizational development, and/or knowledge management.
    - US Citizenship required

    • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment with a diverse staff and demonstrated understanding of the requirements of effective leadership in a rapidly-changing, dynamic and highly-transitional environment.
