    Summary:

    Directs the functional area's activities and resources of the Food and Nutrition Department to ensure alignment with Memorial Healthcare System.


    Detailed responsibilities:

    • Oversees complaint management to achieve performance and quality control objectives. Plans and monitors staffing functions, including hiring, orienting, evaluating and disciplinary actions accordingly for the department.
    • Analyzes production services, clinical systems and practices to provide leadership with decision support information.
    • Responsible for complete departmental oversight in the absence of the director.
    • Develops and implements department operational goals; creates and implements policies and procedures consistent with the administrative, legal and ethical requirements and objectives of the organization.
    • Assists with maintaining operational, strategic and capital budgets for the department. Responsible for pursuing and implementing cost savings initiatives and strategies.
    • Responsible for ensuring the clinical nutrition, patient services and culinary areas are following appropriate regulatory standards and policies; has complete oversight for the department's performance improvement plan and data analysis.

    Education:

    • Bachelors

    Credentials:

    • Registered Dietitian CDR Certification

    Required Work Experience:

    • Two (2) years of clinical nutrition or food service experience; healthcare management experience preferred.
