- As assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor, cleans windows, cleans floors, and empties trash from assigned areas.
- Completes work orders as assigned in a timely manner.
- Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner.
- Plans, prioritizes, and organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.
- Assists in pest control as required.
- May complete purchase order ensuring receipt is obtained.
- Clears driveways and sidewalks of snow and uses appropriate materials to safeguard against slipping on ice.
- Plans, assigns, monitors, reviews, and supervises the work of custodians assigned to the site.
- Instructs, advises, and demonstrates work methods, practices, and procedures for completing job assignments and to assist in the training of custodians.
- Advises custodial staff on center policies and procedures related to the job assignments and enforces safety rules and regulations.
- Conducts spot inspections of assigned task to ensure compliance and expectations are being met.
- Maintains appropriate records and prepares reports as required.
- Ensures adequate supplies are available for operational needs.
- Performs minor or routine maintenance on custodial equipment.
- Trains custodial staff in all manners of cleaning, safety, and custodial equipment use at the site.
- Ensures the appearance of the center's grounds are within standards based on guidelines of the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor and Maintenance Department.
- Ensure all chemicals used on center is shared with the Center Safety Officer ensuring SDS sheets are updated.
- May be responsible for housekeeping duties as assigned.
- Ability to work overtime as needed and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills.
- Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property.
- Adheres to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.
- Fosters and sustains a conducive environment at the center, ensuring it remains free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect, thereby ensuring a safe space for both staff and students to engage in work and learning.
- Attends all required staff training opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One year of custodial experience required.
- Experience working with youth.
- A valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record
