Join our Team as a Health System Pharmacist at Cardinal Health

Health System Pharmacy plays a vital role in creating tailored pharmacy solutions to cut costs and enhance the quality of patient care for hospitals and integrated healthcare providers. We are seeking a dedicated individual who will collaborate with the healthcare team to offer guidance on medications, supplies, and processes.

• Review medical orders and advocate for the use of hospital protocols and policies.
• Provide valuable information on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and medication storage.
• Maintain accurate records, including pharmacy files, patient profiles, inventories, and control records for pharmaceuticals.
• Implement procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling medications to ensure quality and adherence to legal requirements.
• Assess the quality and purity of medications.
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and nurses.
• Supervise a team of pharmacy technicians.
• Prepare IV sterile preparations and engage in creative problem-solving.
• Provide education to the multidisciplinary staff.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts from 6am to 9pm, including weekends and holidays.
• Requirements: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy (PharmD preferred), active Puerto Rico Pharmacist License and Registration, 2+ years of experience in Hospital or Community Pharmacies, strong attention to detail, intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, fluency in English and Spanish, and Covid-19 vaccination.
