- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meet the requirements and handle the tasks outlined in GOM-01 Flight Operation
- Collaborate on recruitment efforts with the talent team at the NOC
- Provide guidance on qualifications needed for new positions
- Coordinate company, crew pairing, revenue management, and aircraft owner requirements to ensure adequate staffing levels for assigned bases
- Authorize open positions by initiating requisitions
- Give final approval on offer letters for pilots
- Participate in pilot technical interviews and represent the company at recruitment events
- Engage in pathway development
- Complete necessary documentations (PAF) for aircraft, position, and pay changes for crew members
- Take part in annual salary survey evaluations
- Supervise Base Chief Pilot activities and assume BCP duties when necessary
- Monitor flight crew activity and statistics, providing insights on staffing needs and crew upgrades
- Supervise flight crew activities at local bases in coordination with the Base Chief Pilot
- Administer HR functions at the base level, documenting performance issues and Performance Improvement Plans as needed
- Implement and oversee performance plans and address ASAP report corrections or remedial training
- Review and approve pilot qualifications, making upgrade and transition recommendations
- Conduct annual Base Chief Pilot performance reviews, assist with pilot performance reviews, and offer advice on compensation administration
- Assist the Director of Operations & Director of Training in ensuring pilot training and currency requirements are met
- Manage PIC Line Checks and IOE training, providing guidance to crewing on PIC readiness for line checks
- Initiate PAFs and ensure accurate updates on FOS qualifications and aircraft tail assignments
- Oversee the crew day-off process, PTO requests, and Short-Term Disability impacts
- Inform crewing and crew records of pilot status changes impacting crew and aircraft availability
- Maintain Check Pilot qualifications and currency
- Conduct line checks and observations of flight crews, perform evaluation flights or simulator observations as needed
- Conduct weekly BCP meetings
- Attend monthly pilot meetings with assigned bases, driving employee engagement and suggesting system enhancements
- Perform flight operations as a crewmember following completion of managerial responsibilities
- Work at NOC office on a rotational schedule providing Safety, HR, Recruiting, Training, and Flight Operations support
- Serve as Flight Operations point of contact for Flight Coordination and Crewing on Operational and Crew Related issues
- Establish rotational Weekend coverage
